Using the studio website
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of sumsteadlabs.com and the studio’s website content and inquiry channels. “Sumstead Labs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sumstead Labs LLC, the independent app studio operating this website, with Missouri, United States as its formation jurisdiction.
These Terms take effect on October 15, 2026, or the date Sumstead Labs LLC is formed, whichever is later.
By using the website, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it. If you contact us for an organization, you must have authority to speak on its behalf.
Individual apps, app websites, purchases, and subscriptions are governed by their own terms and applicable platform agreements. For the Sumstead app and sumstead.com, see the Sumstead Terms of Service. A separate written agreement for studio work controls that work if it conflicts with these website Terms.
Eligibility and your responsibilities
You must be legally able to accept these Terms or use the website with a parent or guardian’s involvement where the law requires it. Use the website only where and in a way permitted by applicable law.
Provide accurate contact details and submit only information you are entitled to share. You are responsible for your device, internet connection, and any costs your provider charges. Do not put passwords, financial credentials, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information into an inquiry.
Respectful and lawful use
You must not use the website or its contact channels to:
- Commit fraud, impersonate someone, infringe another person’s rights, or send unlawful, threatening, or abusive material.
- Send spam, harvest personal information, or submit messages through automated means intended to overwhelm the studio.
- Introduce malicious code, interfere with the website, or bypass security or spam-prevention controls.
- Access systems or information without authorization, or test our systems for vulnerabilities without prior permission.
- Reproduce or exploit website materials in a way these Terms or applicable law do not allow.
Ordinary search-engine indexing and other uses expressly permitted by law are not prohibited by these Terms.
Website materials and ownership
Unless otherwise identified, the website’s text, design, branding, logos, and original images belong to Sumstead Labs or its licensors. You may view the website and make reasonable personal, noncommercial copies for reference, keeping ownership notices intact.
These Terms do not give you ownership of our materials or permission to use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation. Ask us before republishing website materials or using our marks commercially, except where applicable law allows the use. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses, including the license supplied with the website’s font.
Messages, ideas, and confidentiality
You retain ownership of material you send us. You give us permission to receive, store, review, and use it as reasonably needed to handle your inquiry, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may use general suggestions or feedback you voluntarily offer to improve our work without an obligation to pay you, unless we agree otherwise in writing. This does not authorize us to publish your personal correspondence or take ownership of your pre-existing work.
An unsolicited message does not create a confidentiality agreement, partnership, employment relationship, or commitment to begin a project. If confidentiality matters to a proposal, arrange an appropriate written agreement before sharing sensitive or proprietary details.
App information and launch plans
The website introduces the studio and may describe ideas or apps in development. Descriptions, plans, availability, features, and launch timing can change. A preview or announcement is not a guarantee that a product or feature will be released.
This website does not currently sell products, process payments, or offer user accounts. The launch-update signup is not yet active. Visiting the website or sending an inquiry does not create a purchase, subscription, or place in a launch list.
Purchases through an app store are subject to the terms shown for that app and store. Use the relevant app’s support channel for billing, subscriptions, and app-specific questions.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how website visits and studio messages are handled, including the providers used for hosting, spam prevention, form delivery, and email.
When you contact us, we may reply and follow up about your inquiry. We do not treat that message as a request for unrelated marketing. We aim to handle inquiries reasonably, but do not promise a particular response or resolution time.
Other websites and service providers
The website may link to app websites, app stores, or other third-party resources and uses outside services to host pages and deliver messages. These services have their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not control third-party websites or guarantee their content, availability, security, or suitability. A link does not by itself mean we endorse every aspect of a third-party service. Your use of that service is subject to the agreement you have with its provider.
Availability and website changes
We may update, move, suspend, or remove website content or features for maintenance, security, legal, or business reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page will be complete, current, or error-free.
We may restrict access or decline messages when reasonably needed to protect the website, investigate misuse, or comply with the law. Provisions intended to continue, including ownership and applicable liability terms, survive the end of your use.
Information and warranties
The website provides general information about the studio. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and an inquiry does not create a professional advisory relationship.
To the extent the law allows, the website and its materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises of accuracy, uninterrupted access, fitness for a particular purpose, or other warranties. Any warranty or duty that cannot legally be excluded still applies.
Responsibility and legal protections
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sumstead Labs is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this free studio website, such as lost profits or business opportunities.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Your mandatory consumer rights remain in effect.
Questions, disputes, and general terms
If a concern arises, contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from using any complaint process or legal remedy available under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If the law where you live provides mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived, those protections still apply. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent the law permits. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive it. These Terms and any separate written agreement that applies to a particular matter govern the website-related relationship.
Changes to these Terms and contact
We may revise these Terms as the website or studio changes. We will post the revised version with an updated effective date and provide any additional notice required by law. Changes apply prospectively; where your consent is legally required, we will obtain it.
