At a glance

We use studio messages to handle your inquiry. Hosting, security, form-delivery, and email providers help us operate the website and receive correspondence. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

This policy covers the studio website. The Sumstead app has its own Privacy Policy.

01Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy is for Sumstead Labs LLC, the independent app studio operating sumsteadlabs.com, with Missouri, United States as its formation jurisdiction. In this policy, “Sumstead Labs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Sumstead Labs LLC. This policy describes personal information processed when you visit this website or contact the studio.

This policy takes effect on October 15, 2026, or the date Sumstead Labs LLC is formed, whichever is later.

Individual apps and their websites have their own privacy notices. For the Sumstead app and sumstead.com, read the Sumstead Privacy Policy. This studio policy does not replace an app’s privacy notice or describe data stored inside an app.

02Information we receive

When you contact us

The contact form asks for an inquiry type, reply email, subject, and message. You may also provide your name. If you email us directly, we receive your email address, message, and any information you include in that correspondence.

Please share only what is needed for your inquiry. Do not send passwords, bank details, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information. The website contact form does not accept attachments.

When you visit the website

Our hosting and security providers process technical information to deliver pages and protect the website. This may include your IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referring page, request time, approximate location derived from your IP address, and security or diagnostic signals.

The website has no user accounts, checkout, or payment collection. The launch-update email field is currently disabled and does not submit or save email addresses.

03Why we use information

  • To reply to questions, privacy requests, collaboration proposals, and press inquiries.
  • To keep relevant correspondence and follow up on the matter you contacted us about.
  • To deliver the website, investigate technical problems, and prevent spam, fraud, or misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations and handle claims or disputes.

Sending a studio inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. If launch updates become available, we will explain the signup and withdrawal process before collecting addresses.

04Providers that help run the website

We use the following services for the website and studio correspondence:

  • Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, network protection, and Turnstile spam checks. Cloudflare processes connection information and browser or device signals. Contact submissions pass through Cloudflare’s infrastructure. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • FormSubmit: processing and delivery of contact-form messages. The inquiry type, optional name, reply email, subject, and message are sent to FormSubmit so they can be delivered to our inbox. If server delivery is rate-limited, the form may send the same fields directly to FormSubmit from your browser. See FormSubmit’s privacy terms.
  • Apple iCloud Mail: hosting our studio inbox and related email correspondence. Messages sent through the form or directly by email are stored in our inbox. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

These providers may retain delivery records, security logs, or other service data under their own policies. We do not send your message contents to Turnstile for verification, and we do not send Turnstile verification tokens to FormSubmit.

05Other disclosures

We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use studio inquiries to build advertising profiles.

We may disclose relevant information when legally required, to investigate misuse, or to protect people and legal rights. If the studio is reorganized, acquired, or transferred, relevant business correspondence may be included, subject to applicable law and any required notice. We limit disclosures to what is reasonably needed for the purpose.

06Cookies and similar technologies

We do not add advertising trackers, cross-site behavioral advertising, or third-party visitor analytics scripts to this website. Fonts and studio images are served with the website rather than loaded from a third-party font service.

Hosting, security, and form-delivery services may use cookies or similar technologies when needed to provide their services or prevent abuse. Turnstile performs browser checks on the contact page. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking security scripts may prevent the form from working. You can still email [email protected].

Because we do not sell personal information or use targeted advertising, there is no sale or advertising-sharing activity to opt out of here. We honor privacy signals where applicable law requires.

07Legal grounds for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, operating the studio, and protecting the website, balanced against your rights. We may also process information to take steps you request toward an agreement, perform an agreement, or meet a legal obligation.

If we ask for consent for an optional use, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that lawfully took place before withdrawal. We do not treat a contact-form submission as consent to unrelated marketing.

08Keeping and deleting information

We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry and maintain relevant business records. Legal obligations, an ongoing relationship, security concerns, or a dispute may require a longer period. We review information and delete it when it is no longer needed.

The website does not maintain a separate database of contact messages. Delivered messages remain in our email system, and providers may retain service records or backups under their own retention schedules. Deletion from an active inbox may not immediately remove every backup copy.

You may ask us to delete correspondence associated with you. We will explain any applicable reason that prevents us from completing a request in full.

09Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to its use; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a request. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your region.

Email [email protected] or choose “Privacy question” on the contact form. Include enough detail to locate your correspondence. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. Please do not send an identity document unless we specifically need and request it through an appropriate channel.

We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain relevant exceptions. We do not penalize you for exercising a privacy right.

10Protecting information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted website connections, restricted access to studio correspondence, and spam checks on the contact form. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

If your inquiry involves sensitive material, email us first to discuss an appropriate way to share it.

11Children’s information

This studio website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

12International visitors

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws from your location. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer of personal information under our control, we use the safeguards that law requires.

13Links to other websites

Links to app websites, app stores, or other services take you to websites with their own privacy practices. Review the relevant notice before providing information there. An app’s privacy policy is the place to check how that app handles its data.

14Policy updates and contact

We will revise this page when our website or information practices change and update the effective date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice when required. A new optional signup or data use will be explained before it begins.

For questions about this policy or information associated with you, contact Sumstead Labs LLC at [email protected] or use our contact page.
